Make great advances in your personal and professional success in 2017. Enroll in NAFA's Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM®)/Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS®) program and close out 2016 knowing you'll be taking part in the industry standard for fleet knowledge in the new year!

The CAFM® program is the only college-accredited professional designation in the fleet industry, and is a self-study course in the eight disciplines of fleet management:
  • Asset Management, which includes subjects such as vehicle selection, acquisition, and remarketing
  • Business Management, which includes law, policies, procedures, emergency operations, and strategic partnering
  • Financial Management, which includes, personal use, lease vs. buy vs. reimbursement, budgeting, and lifecycle cost analysis
  • Information Management, which includes information systems, telematics, and data management
  • Maintenance Management, which includes vehicle technologies, shop operations and staffing, and inventory management
  • Professional Development, which includes leadership skills, business communications, and ethics
  • Risk Management, which includes insurance, driver training, and crash management
  • Vehicle Fuel Management, which includes environmental issues, fuel card programs, and conventional and alternative fuels
With the CAFS® program, individuals can choose any four disciplines and, if they pass those exams, will earn their CAFS® designation. The flexibility of the CAFS® program allows students to pick the disciplines of most immediate need, and sets students on the right track to continue on and earn their CAFM®!

Additional information on the program can be found at http://www.fleetcertification.org

Here is some of the valuable information that is covered in the curriculum:
  • Lifecycle Cost Analysis to select the right vehicle and recycle it at the optimum time
  • Vehicle Equivalency Units and maintenance staffing

  • Vehicle selector process to use important safety, cost, and environmental considerations in vehicle selection
  • Ethical decision making in order to make financially sound and morally right choices

We welcome fleet administrators, foremen, fleet management company representatives, OEM representatives, and various other professionals who sell products to fleets!
