LeasePlan USA President and CEO Mike Pitcher to Retire

LeasePlan USA President and CEO Mike Pitcher, a NAFA Associate Member*, has announced that he is retiring from the company. The fleet management company intends to name a successor sometime this month.
Pitcher joined LeasePlan USA in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Fleet Sales and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2005. He was named President and CEO in 2008 when David Dahm became LeasePlan USA's COO. Prior to LeasePlan USA, Pitcher worked at Pitney Bowes and Dell Financial Services.
A familiar face to attendees of NAFA's Institute & Expo, Pitcher was a frequent contributor to the Association's Fleet Management Company Executives panel. Among the subjects presented at panel sessions, Pitcher personally championed safety concerns and warned of the presence of intrusive technologies that facilitate distracted driving such as cellphones.
Pitcher led LeasePlan USA throughout the economic downturn of 2008 and beyond, and is credited with keeping the company strong and viable throughout.
