Element Fleet Management Corp. Purchases The CEI Group

In December 2016, Element Fleet Management Corp. purchased fleet safety and accident management provider The CEI Group. The CEI Group and Element Fleet Management North America will continue to operate separately. NAFA Associate Member* Wayne Smolda, CEI President and CEO will continue to lead the company as a subsidiary, and will report to Element Fleet Management International President and CEO Jim Halliday. CEI's staff will also stay with the company

This acquisition is the latest in a string of purchases by Toronto-headquartered Element Fleet Management Corp. The company acquired PHH Arval in 2014 and GE Capital Fleet Services in 2015. Currently the largest fleet management company in North America, Element has more than one million vehicles under their management.
