First of all, I want to extend a great big "thank you" if you are attending the 2019 Institute & Expo with us today through Wednesday in Louisville, Kentucky! If you couldn't make it, I hope you'll follow along with NAFA's communications throughout the week as we report on the phenomenal events we have happening over these three days.
As we all know, I&E is the largest and the best educational and networking event in the fleet management industry. Nearly 1,000 fleet managers and just as many suppliers make I&E an incomparable event…no one even comes close.
Despite that success – or maybe because of it – we’ve completely re-designed I&E this year. We reduced I&E to three days from four to better fit your work schedules, and we moved it up a day during the week. But the shortened schedule doesn’t mean less value. We’ve loaded I&E with the things everyone enjoys – networking, education, and more networking – plus many new enhancements.
For instance, we have two Keynote Speakers instead of just one. Today, Chris Riddell will open our eyes to the trends and technologies that will impact us both as humans and fleet professionals. On Wednesday, Lukas Neckermann will expound on the mobility revolution and its impact on fleet.
Neckermann’s address will be just one of the highlights on Wednesday, which we are dubbing “Mobility Day.” Mobility Day is sure to provide you concrete, actionable lessons you can bring back to your office to begin your own mobility revolution.
Another enhancement to I&E is the addition of our first-ever supplier track of educational sessions. Developed by suppliers for suppliers, this track will feature important lessons on such topics as understanding the decision-making matrix, navigating the RFP process, designing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and much more. If you’re a new supplier to the fleet world, be sure to attend this entire track!
Speaking of suppliers, please block your schedule to be on the Expo floor the entire time the exhibits are open. If you have to schedule a meeting, take a call, or want to grab lunch – you can do all that on the Expo floor. The Expo provides you a unique opportunity to meet with dozens of supplier partners, all under one roof, in the span of just two days. Imagine the amount of business you can get done in that time! Plus, if you’re not looking for new suppliers, spend time on the floor learning about the new products and services out there, and just supporting the suppliers who support NAFA. It’s a fantastic way to thank them for making NAFA the great association it is…and, besides, there’s lots of fun giveaways and prizes to be won by staying on the floor!
Thank you, again, for attending I&E and making this event the success it is. I look forward to seeing you in the classrooms, hallways, and expo floor…please say hello! If you did not attend this year, we hope the information being shared by your peers who are attending might encourage you to be with us next year at the Indiana Convention Center at Indianapolis.
Sincerely,
Phil
