2011 Institute & Expo Registrations Are Far Ahead Of Last Year's Pace

The 2011 Institute & Expo (I&E) takes place April 9-12 in Charlotte, NC and registrations are way above last year's pace. Both Members and Affiliates are registering now. Why are professionals so excited to attend the I&E? Here's a look at some conference highlights.

The brightest minds and rising stars of the fleet industry are among those in attendance and the I&E provides the perfect opportunity for you to network with them through more than 70 hours of networking time. Yet, great networking is only part of the story.

In addition to networking, the I&E features more than 50 interactive educational sessions, 2 Keynote Speakers, and 9 hours of dedicated expo floor time.  The conference includes educational courses from all aspects of fleet management (corporate, public safety, basic, advanced, university, utility, public service) and allows you to choose the programs that will benefit you the most.

A brand new Advanced Corporate track was added this year to meet the needs of experienced corporate fleet managers by delivering timely, detailed information on today's most current topics. Sessions include: "The Mobilization of Fleet Management"; "How Do You Get Remote Drivers to Change Behaviors?"; "The Consultants Are Here, What Do I Do Now?"; "It's Coming... IFRS Convergence! Do You Know How It Will Impact Your Fleet?"; "Congratulations, You're The Global Fleet Manager! Now What?"; "Managing Through Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures"; and "Impacts to Used Vehicle Values."

If you are new to fleet or interested in taking NAFA's Fleet Management Seminar, the Basic/FMS track is the perfect starting point for you. Courses provide an introduction to NAFA education as well as a look at fleet management disciplines including Financial Management and Professional Development.

The I&E is also the best way for certification students to prepare for their exams. The CAFM Boot Camp, containing courses in each fleet management discipline, has been a hit ever since it was introduced three years ago.

The Charlotte I&E features specialty workshops that provide the opportunity to discuss issues affecting other fleet managers with similar fleets, and lets you expand or share your knowledge with peers. Workshops focus on Corporate, Canadian, Pharmaceutical, Public Safety Group, Public Service and University, and Utility.

The entire educational program is the only kind to be developed by expert fleet managers in every fleet segment, with the sessions tackling the most pertinent, timely subjects.

Media sponsors for the 2011 I&E include FleetOwner, Automotive Digest, Fleet Maintenance, Canadian Automotive Fleet, International Fleet World, fleetdigest, Light & Medium Truck, CAMAUTO, Fleets & Fuels, FLEETSolutions, FleetFOCUS, and Naylor.
