NAFA would like to thank all Members and Affiliates for being a part of our family, and especially to those celebrating key membership milestones. It is our Members who help make this Association successful. Celebrating 45 Years With NAFA:

A. Warren Feirer
Leonia, NJ

A. Warren Feirer became NAFA's 16th President in 1979 and served until 1981.  During his influential career in fleet, he was employed by Ford Motor Company, Olin Corporation, Standard Brands, and RJR Nabisco.  His career accomplishments have led him to twice be nominated for the Fleet Hall of Fame and earned him NAFA's highest honor – NAFA's Distinguished Service Award – in 1992.

Feirer's career within NAFA began in 1966 when he first joined the New York Chapter.  It didn't take long for him to get involved within the Chapter as he soon began managing the meal and room arrangements for the monthly meetings.  Feirer went on to hold various positions within the chapter and served as Chapter Chair from 1969-1971.

In the years that followed, Feirer became an important Member of NAFA on the national stage.  He led workshops at several NAFA conferences, served as a member of NAFA's national Board from 1973 to 1984, spearheaded the development of the NAFA Reference Book, contributed a chapter on Lease versus Ownership in the Fleet Manager's Manual and also directed the publication of the book while serving as NAFA President, participated in the development of the CFM and CAFM programs, and led NAFA Foundation's study of company provided vs. driver provided company cars.  In addition, he was a trustee of the NAFA Foundation from 1986 to 1992 and served as President of the foundation for the final five years.

While serving as NAFA President, Feirer accepted an award from President Carter for the Association's efforts in planning fuel conservation during the height of the fuel crisis.

Feirer remains an influential member of the fleet community through his work as a Field Editor and author of fleet management articles for Bobit Publishing and other magazines.
