Michigan Chapter To Hold Alternative Fuel Conference In Conjunction With Clean Cities

On March 24, the NAFA Michigan Chapter will hold its first annual Alternative Fuel Conference, in partnership with Michigan's Clean Cities Coalitions. The conference will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Roush Museum, 11851 Market Street in Livonia, MI. The cost is $35 for NAFA Members/Affiliates and $40 for non-members.  Plenty of on-site parking is available.

Due to a significance increase in fleet sustainability planning across all industry sectors, the Michigan NAFA Chapter members will be excited to learn about various alternatives and tax incentives/grant opportunities that support clean fuels and vehicle procurement.

In addition to a selection of alternative fuel vehicles on-site to view from Rouse, Chevrolet, DTE, and Volkswagen, the conference will include the following speakers and topics:

NAFA has encouraged the fostering of the relationships between chapters and the various Clean Cities Coalitions throughout the nation. Many Members in Michigan and Northwest Ohio have been working with the local Clean Cities since the fall and this conference is a sign of how the two organizations can help each other.

Michigan's Clean Cities Coalitions offer objective information and funding opportunities to support fleet use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies.  The organization is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and created by the Energy Policy Act (EPAct).
