GM Recalling Chevrolet Cruze
General Motors announced on April 6 a recall of twenty-one hundred 2011 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles because of the potential for steering wheel detachment, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
During manufacturing, the steering wheel might have been improperly fastened and could detach from the steering column, prompting a loss of steering control.
GM dealers will perform an inspection to certify that the steering wheel is assembled properly. This service will be made free-of-charge to Chevrolet Cruze owners.
Vehicles owners can reach Chevrolet at 800-630-2438.
