The First Word With Phil Russo
Construction Begins on I&E 2012
It seems like just a few days ago we were in Charlotte, having the times of our lives at I&E 2011. Yet, here we are already planning for I&E 2012, while it is still more than 10 months away.
Last week, more than two dozen fleet professionals met in St. Louis to begin the process of developing I&E sessions for next year. All of these individuals were personally invited by either NAFA's President Douglas Weichman, CAFM or myself to participate on the I&E Curriculum Committee. In selecting individuals, we looked for those who could represent the various fleet segments (corporate, utility, government, etc.), as well as help us maintain diversity. I think the mix is excellent in every sense.
Here are some of the characteristics of the 2012 I&E Curriculum Committee:
-
Corporate fleet managers - 10
-
Utility fleet managers - 5
-
Government fleet managers - 4
-
Affiliates – 3

Public safety fleet managers - 2
-
University fleet managers - 1
-
1st year on Committee – 15
