Affiliates: Give Yourself Every Advantage Possible

Last month, I made a plea to all NAFA members to update their fleet profiles in the NAFA database, and I want to thank the many individuals who did so.  Now it’s time for our Affiliates – the suppliers upon whom Members rely to conduct business – to do the same.

As everyone knows, NAFA members clearly prefer to do business with NAFA Affiliates.  Simply being able to say you’re a NAFA Affiliate can oftentimes get your foot in the door at a prospective client.  But this isn’t a marketing piece trying to convince you to join.  This is a plea to those who already know the value of being an Affiliate but who may not have given themselves every advantage possible.

NAFA allows every Affiliate the ability to create an online profile that reflects the products or services his or her company provides.  This list, which has over 220 different selections, allows you to get very specific about what you do.  Everything from "Accident Management" to "Wheelchair Lifts" – and everything in between – is available for selection.

From this database, NAFA populates its ever-popular "Online Buyer’s Guide."  The Online Buyer’s Guide is the fleet manager’s best friend when looking for a product or service.  Fleet managers can easily find suppliers from their area, or in any specific area, who supply the services they need.   The Online Buyer’s Guide is a user-friendly forum designed to bring buyers and sellers together 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  To provide even more value, the Online Buyer’s Guide is accessible on the iPad, iPhone, and BlackBerry with our free Mobile Marketplace application.  The Online Buyer’s Guide even has a powerful "RFP Automator" where fleet managers can get in touch with multiple vendors in specific requests with just a few clicks.

Last month alone, NAFA’s Online Buyer’s Guide had nearly five hundred unique visitors from twenty-five countries, including the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, China, Spain, and Australia.  Best of all inclusion in this global outreach is completely free to every NAFA Affiliate.  (There’s even a way to upgrade your listing in the Online Buyer’s Guide to make your listing stand out.)

But the Online Buyer’s Guide and the NAFA database profile can’t reach out to you.  You have to go to NAFA’s database to make your profile as detailed as you can.

To update your Affiliate profile, simply log into the NAFA website by clicking here, then click on the "My Profile" link on the top of the page. From there, click on the "Products & Services" button to update your listing.  Any additional information about you or your company can be added by clicking on the "Business Category" and "Profile" buttons.

I encourage every Affiliate to take advantage of this amazing (and free) opportunity to market yourself to thousands of fleet managers.

Thank you!
