NAFA New England Chapter Discuss Advanced Vehicle Technology And Distracted Driving



NAFA New England Chapter had open discussion on October 19 around the latest in technology developments and their application toward safer driving.  The meeting's main topic, hosted by Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., Marlboro, MA, focused on advanced vehicle technology with a distracted driving panel fielding questions.

The Panel of experts included Gene Cook, GPS Management, Telogis Co.; Adam Kopstein, Safety & Compliance for Volvo; Daniel Ross, iZup Development for Illume Software; Cathy Morressey, Sync Division, Ford Motor Co.; Tim Mooney, Onboard Development for PHH; Lou Vella, Product Development,  ARI; and Keith Steidle, Product Development, ARI.

Discussions ranged from accident prevention, automated vehicle controls, distracted driving prevention, GPS applications, and potential liability concerns. Opinion of the meeting seemed to confirm that there was excellent Fleet Manager/Affiliate interaction.
