NAFA's 2012 Sustainable Fleet Awards Now Accepting Submissions

Sustainability doesn’t have to be a dirty word for fleet managers. In fact, many fleets have found that doing what’s right for the environment can be right for the company’s bottom line as well. NAFA recognizes the challenges fleet managers face in setting up their organization’s sustainability plans and honors those who have implemented pioneering, innovative, and creative programs with NAFA’s Sustainable Fleet Awards. The Association will accept award entry submissions from now until February 17, 2012.

Applications for the Sustainable Fleet Award may be submitted by any individual who is directly employed in a vehicle management role by any company, utility, government agency, or not for profit organization in the United States or Canada. A NAFA Member can nominate themselves and/or their fleet team (entrants must be Members of NAFA to qualify). Non-members, suppliers, vendors, and others may nominate NAFA Members, but the Member being nominated must sign the entry form being submitted.

Entries are judged by a distinguished panel that includes representatives from OEM manufacturers, automotive publishing companies, leasing companies, and fleet managers from both private and public sectors. The criteria for judging includes originality, innovation, and demonstrated accomplishment for reducing energy consumption.

2012 Sustainable Fleet Award winners will be announced during a special ceremony at NAFA’s 2012 Institute & Expo. The annual conference will take place April 21-24 at the America’s Center in St. Louis, MO.
