Trucking Industry Defense Association Appoints New President, Board Members

The Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) announced the appointment of Tamara L. Warn as the organization’s ninth president at its recent annual meeting. Warn, Vice President of Risk Management for C&K Trucking, succeeds outgoing President Lee Piovarcy and will oversee the Board of Directors that recently added six new members.

"I’m honored to accept this position, and I look forward to contributing to TIDA’s continued growth and mission to reduce the cost of claims and lawsuits against the trucking industry," said Warn. "I will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that our organization continues to present our members with opportunities to contribute and grow as professionals."

The newly appointed members to the board of directors include:
Warn will serve a two-year term as President for the organization, after which President-Elect Joel B. Schechter of Watson, Bennett, Colligan, & Schechter, LLP, Buffalo, NY will assume the role. Warn and the board oversee a number of committees responsible for all TIDA efforts including the planning of all annual events, membership communication, and awarding an annual endowment grant to select colleges and programs impacting the trucking industry.
