NAFA's Third Annual Silent Auction Is A Powerful Plus For I&E Exhibitors

NAFA invites 2012 I&E exhibitors to participate in a Silent Auction to help raise money for the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. As a matter of fact, St. Jude's gets one hundred percent from the proceeds of this event.

NAFA's Silent Auction is a traditional favorite of the expo attendees. Joining fellow exhibitors in donating an item to the auction will help them gain added exposure on the expo floor, as conference attendees visit their booths to take a closer look at the items they've placed up-for-bid. Examples of past popular items placed up-for-bid include an Apple iPad 2; 22" LCD Color HD TV; NASCAR  Fan Package; Nook Color eReader; Burton Snowboard 156, Kinect + Kinect Sports Game; Bridgestone Golf Bag; Coach Travel Ensemble; Dell Mini Netbook; Nintendo Wii Console; a $100 ExxonMobil Gas Card, and two $250 Master Cards.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from NAFA's 2012 Silent Auction will go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to aid their mission of finding cures for cancer and other pediatric diseases through research and treatment.

2012 marks the 50th Anniversary for St. Jude's and the 100th birthday of it's founder, Danny Thomas. The United States Postal Service has recently unveiled a commemorative Forever Stamp honoring entertainer Thomas (for more information, see the Offbeat News section of this issue of FleetFOCUS).

In 1962, Thomas founded St. Jude with a mission to save the lives of children everywhere. He fervently believed that "no child should die in the dawn of life." Thomas wanted to create a hopeful place that was accepting of all children whether or not the family could afford treatment.

Today, St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research hospital where no family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay and no family ever pays St. Jude for anything. For fifty years, St. Jude has advanced treatment of such deadly childhood diseases as cancer, saving the lives of children across America. Research at St. Jude has changed how the world treats leukemia, brain tumors, and sickle cell disease, helping push survival rates for childhood cancers from less than twenty percent in 1962 to almost eighty percent today.

Previous auctions have been well received and this years' auction looks to be even better, but it is the generosity of exhibitors and the donated silent auction prizes that truly put the event over the top. The silent auction is fun for everyone and can be a great conversation starter at an exhibitor's booth. The return-on-investment is hard to ignore: Silent Auction participation leads attendees to the booths, generating more leads, with the proceeds from the auction supporting a worthy cause.

Participating in NAFA's 2012 Silent Auction is easy and, in addition to being for a good cause, the Silent Auction is an excellent  lead-generating opportunity for I&E exhibitors:
Please note: your company name, your booth number and a brief description of your auction item will be provided to every fleet manager attending I&E as long as your Silent Auction Participation Form is received at NAFA by Friday, March 30.
