NorCal-Northern Nevada Chapter's Year-End Meeting, December 6, 2012
The NorCal-Northern Nevada Chapter held their year-end meeting on December 6, 2012 (Thursday) at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Walnut Creek, CA.
The day's agenda consisted of networking; a noontime lunch of shrimp, prime rib, stuffed chicken, and a vegetarian plate; and recognition of the Bay Area Crisis Nursery when a gift collection was taken up.
This will be the 20th time the Chapter has donated to the Bay Area Crisis Nursery of Concord. The Nursery offers assistance to folks in need in the entire Bay Area. Parents who are having difficulty taking care of their children are allowed to drop them off for stays at the Nursery, at no charge. Some families are destitute and have no other family in the area. The Nursery gives to all of the families they have served and who are in need of assistance. Some of the children who are cared for by the Nursery receive only these gifts collected at events like the NorCal-Northern Nevada Chapter meeting at Christmas time.
The Chapter meeting commenced afterward with a rundown of the meetings being planned for 2013; the election and re-election of Chapter officers; and a discussion regarding the NAFA 2013 I&E in Atlantic City, NJ.
