It’s that time of year again for the "Largest Event of the Fleet Management Industry: NAFA’s 2013 Institute & Expo being held in Atlantic City, NJ on April 23-26.
Did you know these facts about Atlantic City?
- The Miss America Pageant was held in Atlantic City from 1921 until 2005
- The Trump Taj Mahal Hotel in Atlantic City has 4-and-a-half times more steel than the Eiffel Tower
- HBO’s Series "Boardwalk Empire which takes place in Atlantic City in the 1920’s, is actually is filmed in Brooklyn
- Chubby Checker first introduced his famous 60’s dance craze "The Twist" at the Rainbow Club in nearby Wildwood, NJ
- "The Chaperone" Seinfeld episode, where Jerry mistakenly kills Miss Rhode Island's doves for her magic act in the Miss America pageant, is partially based in Atlantic City
- Interesting fact: All of the street names from the Monopoly board game are in Atlantic City except one. Marvin Gardens (which is actually spelled Marven Gardens) is located in Margate
- For you candy connoisseurs – Salt Water Taffy was originally produced and marketed in the City, area beginning in the late 19th century

The 2013 NAFA I&E Conference is being held in the great New Jersey, in the jewel of the state, Atlantic City, on April 23-26!
This year’s NAFA I&E event will be bigger and better than ever because it is designed with you in mind.
The training and education elements of the I&E are expanded to offer you, the Fleet Professional more opportunity to broaden your horizons with knowledge that assists you in strategically managing your fleet. The sessions will give you the most up to date information on topics and issues that have financial, industry, and environmental impact on today’s fleet operations.
Industry segments workshops that allow you to meet with other sector professionals who face the same challenges you do in the industry.
The expo is also redesigned this year for easier access to review new products and services and also meet with preferred suppliers and auto manufacturers with new innovations that will impact the way you manage your fleet. At the "Networking Reception" which is being held at the convention center will give you the opportunity to catch up catch up with colleagues and friends!
There will also be many other opportunities for networking with your peers and other fleet professionals which is one of the key focal points of the I&E each year!
Some new things this year, because we heard what matters to you!
- The I&E will be held on a Tuesday thru Friday time frame rather on the Weekend allowing attendees to make the most of the I&E
- The 1st Annual Open Night Awards Party will be held on Tuesday, April 23 and is where the winners of the 2013 Fleet Excellence Awards will be held, followed by a food and cocktail reception preceding entertainment by one of NJ’s favorite sons, Southside Johnny (and the Asbury Jukes)!
