New Product Uses Real-Time Data For Purchasing Decisions
Comdata Corporation announced in late May the unveiling of FleetAdvance a new program that utilizes real-time transaction data to help fleet customers make purchasing decisions, manage fuel costs, and improve driver behavior.
Research indicates that drivers could have found a lower fuel price on fuel purchases 54 percent of the time. Comdata's resources could help customers identify these opportunities for fuel savings. By providing information in real time, customers might have greater insight into transactions when they occur.
"FleetAdvance demonstrates our commitment to payment innovation in the fleet industry," said Randy Morgan, Executive Vice President for the company.
The product includes the ability to score each fuel transaction as it occurs, comparing the net price paid to the price that could have been paid at other nearby locations. For each transaction that falls outside established score guidelines, the company can send an immediate email or text message notification. Additionally, all transactions can be monitored via a web-based console that tracks purchasing activity and provides key information in real-time.
Comdata Corporation is a business-to-business provider of electronic payment solutions. As an issuer and a processor, the company provides fleet, corporate payment, healthcare, virtual card, and prepaid solutions to over 30,000 customers. The company captures and reports transaction data, giving customers greater control over their expenses.
