Introducing NAFA's Connecticut Chapter
In early-September the Chapter Governing Board voted to change the name of the Greater Hartford Chapter to the Connecticut Chapter. It has since been approved.
In February 2013, the Chapter Governing Board approved the following geographic change for the New York-Intercounty and Greater Hartford chapters: "those members in the New York-Intercounty chapter whose businesses lie in Connecticut but north of Norwalk, CT will be geographically assigned to the Greater Hartford chapter going forward."
The new Greater Hartford chapter area is: "the metropolitan Hartford, Connecticut area, as well as all areas north of Norwalk, CT, extending to the Massachusetts border." Based on the current geographic boundary, the Greater Hartford board decided the name of the chapter should be changed to the Connecticut Chapter.
Based upon the new geographic borders, the Connecticut Chapter classification most appropriately described the region the chapter now encompassed.
