New York-Intercounty Chapter Tours Hi-Tech CNG Vehicle Conversion Facility
The New York-Intercounty Chapter took a tour of Clean Vehicle Solutions CNG vehicle conversion facility in Nyack, NY on September 19.
Dean Sloane, Managing Director of Clean Vehicle Solutions; and Luis Pereira, CFO of Clean Vehicle Solutions presented Mobile Fueling Solutions (MFS)- Virtual Pipeline, a method of providing the refueling infrastructure necessary to make CNG vehicles a viable market alternative to unleaded gasoline and diesel. This technology, which is currently in service in South America and Europe, provides CNG through mobile fueling units, reducing the need for an expensive independent CNG fueling site or the need for a nearby high pressure CNG gas supply.
New York-Intercounty Chapter Chair Jim Reinish, with the Port Authority of NY & NJ said, "The meeting included a discussion of new technology that can be used to facilitate mobile fueling of CNG vehicles. In addition, meeting attendees were given a tour of Clean Vehicle Solutions' CNG upfitting facility."
Clean Vehicle Solution’s new facility was constructed to meet increasing demand for CNG vehicles and can convert 5,000 vehicles annually. During the meeting, Reinish gave Sloane a plaque in thanks for his presentation and tour.
