Chicago Chapter Road Show Seminar A Success!

On October 30, two dozen Fleet Managers and a dozen Affiliates attended the Chicago Chapter’s mini-NAFA Boot Camp sessions, which are part of NAFA’s Road Show Education Seminars program.  Kate Vigneau, CAFM, NAFA’s Professional Development Strategist, presented condensed versions of 4 of the 8 core competencies found in the NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager/Specialist program (Vehicle Acquisition, Policy Development, Life Cycle Cost, Risk Fundamentals). NAFA "road show" program provides chapters with the ability host their own mini-Essentials of Fleet Management or CAFM Boot Camp seminars.

The full day format also offered attendees an opportunity to network during the continental breakfast and box lunch. Chapter Chair Diane Lopez, Manager-Corporate Fleet for Abbott, said, "I believe that everyone was able to take advantage of the quality material presented in this seminar and it was great to see so many fleet managers in attendance. This event proved that a quality topic, good speaker, and an affordable price will lead to a successful meeting. Our thanks go out to Mike Zalas, Ewald Fleet Solutions, and Kevin Kiedrow, PHH, for their efforts in planning and organizing this meeting." The Chicago Chapter is the first local chapter to license and present a "roadshow" program from NAFA.
