"I began my career in fleet management in 1978 with the Western Company of North America, and joined NAFA in 1979. I moved to Adams Laboratories in 1992, and ended my career at Alcom Laboratories in 2007. I served as Chapter Chair of the Southwest Chapter for one year, and later served as Chapter Chair of the South Central Chapter for three years. Considering all the things NAFA offered, none was greater than the forum to interact with others in this same field. Time spent learning from each other was invaluable and I thoroughly enjoyed my career in fleet management. Now I enjoy retirement. I spend a lot of time at our ranch in the Texas hill country watching the deer and antelope play. I also serve on the economic development board in our home town and enjoy volunteering at my church. I have truly lived a blessed life. Thanks to NAFA for all you did for me."

"In 1984, as Fleet Manager for the Allegheny Division of Contel, I joined the Philadelphia Chapter of NAFA and attained CFM certification in 1986. The knowledge from the course and interaction with chapter members were tremendous assets in my work. As a retired fleet manager, it is interesting to see the changes that have evolved over the years. Due to health issues that prevent me from attending functions, I enjoy keeping informed by reading the information received from NAFA and other fleet sources."
