NAFA's Mid-West Chapter Hits The (Indoor) Racetrack

Providing a whole different spin on the "ride and drive" concept, NAFA's Mid-West Chapter strapped in for some speedy small-track action for their July 15 meeting. The gathering, held at Joe's Karting in Council Bluffs, IA offered a good time in a unique environment.

This event was led by NAFA's Education Development Committee Chair Patrick T. Barrett, CAFM (Director, University of Nebraska – Lincoln Transportation Services), and Mid-West Chapter Chair Mike McDonald, Director of Asset Management at Mosaic.

Tracy Webb, Director of Driving Safety Programs, Nebraska Safety Council, discussed the many driver safety training programs they offer. Tracy is a certified instructor for the NSC's traffic safety programs the Nebraska Safety Council and, prior to that, served the public for 11 years in law enforcement.

After that, chapter members strapped up their helmets, buckled in, and took on the go-kart racing action on an indoor racetrack.
