Fuel Provider And GE Capital Fleet Services Partner To Build CNG Fueling Infrastructure

On August 22, fleet management company GE Capital Fleet Services announced an agreement with VNG.co, a national CNG fueling facility provider, to support the expansion of the CNG refueling infrastructure for light-duty fleet vehicles.

With interest rising in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a lower-cost, low-emissions fuel for light-duty fleets, this cooperative effort is aimed at bringing fleet owners and CNG-fueled vehicles together.

Through the agreement with VNG, GE Capital Fleet Services’ customers are expected to have better accessibility to CNG fueling stations, meet financial and environmental objectives, and potentially minimize fueling costs.

The fuel provider offers fast-fill CNG fueling within existing retail gasoline stations, eliminating the need for fleets to own and maintain their own refueling stations.

The fleet management company said that this arrangement should help customers identify opportunities to utilize natural gas vehicles (NGVs) within their fleets, and work to pinpoint where additional fueling infrastructure is needed.
