The Affiliates Committee: Planning For Success

The Affiliates Committee is revved up and ready to roll as we plan for I&E in Orlando next spring. Attendance was up for I&E 2014, and we intend to set impressive new standards for 2015.

Recognizing that the role of fleet managers has changed, and that you now may be juggling a multitude of responsibilities, we Affiliates are adjusting our role as well. We will turn our focus to education, providing more information and resources on vehicles, procurement, and other topics that are important to fleet managers. Enhancing the Members' experience by addressing their needs is our goal.

With the NAFA attendees in mind, we worked to organize the schedule so there’s less overlap of meetings or events and Members can attend the sessions that are meaningful to you — and still have time to fully experience the exhibits. We are also developing topics for the manufacturing panel and planning the welcome reception. In 2015, we will deliver an impactful Police Ride & Drive that will showcase the performance of the vehicles in a location that is convenient for the attendees.

Working with professionals from other automotive companies provides a combined wealth of knowledge that enables us to deliver the best experience for our Members. Moving beyond the idea that we are "competitors" and working together for the benefit of us all is key. Well, with a nod to Orlando, I’ll quote Walt Disney: "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."

So, let’s put our ideas in motion for a successful I&E 2015!
