Get Exclusive Access To The Washington Auto Show, January 27-29, 2015!
The Washington Auto Show is always a fascinating event for people involved in the automotive world, either as a career or as a hobby. There are even greater reasons to attend the upcoming event January 27-29, 2015 for NAFA Members. NAFA will have an education track available that will introduce the eleven essentials of fleet management, and will dig into three of the important fleet disciplines. Also, NAFA is offering an opportunity for attendees to test drive the CAFM certification program for free!
And if those were not enough, NAFA Members will have exclusive access to the Auto Show floor prior to the official opening each day at 12:00 noon! It all takes place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, Northwest Washington D.C. Admission, normally $12, is free to NAFA members who attend!
NAFA classes will include: The Eleven Essentials of Fleet Management, where attendees will learn what NAFA considers the 11 best practices in fleet operations, what standards the best-in-class fleets are expected to perform at, and where to find reliable benchmarking information.
NAFA has recently created a Sustainable Fleet Standard Program that defines what it really means to be a "green" or sustainable fleet. The program provides a tool for fleets to measure their sustainable efforts against NAFA’s standard and to earn recognition for accomplishments as they reach certain fleet sustainability objectives. The program will recognize organizations that manage and reduce the environmental impacts of fleet operations at a standard that is equal or better than that required by legislation. Attendees will learn how to sign up to participate in this program, and how to demonstrate real commitment to emissions reductions!
There will also be sessions on Fleet Information Management 101, as well as a Masters Class that will challenge experienced fleet professionals to apply the knowledge gained through the CAFM/S programs or practical experience, in a challenging practical exercise.
Attendees of the 2015 Washington Auto Show who pre-register are eligible to sign up for a CAFM Test Drive of the Asset Management module! The Asset Management module deals with acquiring vehicles and remarketing them. This session will cover the certification program in these two areas and provide attendees with a very good idea of the level of education to expect in the program. Best of all, this CAFM Test Drive opportunity is free (but you must pre-register to ensure materials will be prepared for you).
Click here and sign up for the event no later than December 15. Registrants will receive study materials for the Asset Management module by December 20. The class on Asset Management will be offered on January 28. It will cover the highlights of the module and provide an opportunity to ask questions about the materials. Attendees should complete their Study Guide prior to the class to get the most out of the session. Registrants can then write the Asset Management Exam on January 29.
Successful candidates will have one year to enroll in CAFM and have that module count towards their professional designation, and all participants who pass the exam will receive a completion certificate.
This is a terrific opportunity to gain exclusive access to the Washington Auto Show floor, take in select NAFA education sessions, network, and much more. Make plans to attend the Washington Auto Show, January 27-29, 2015. To pre-register, click here.
