GM Ignition Switch Recalls To Continue Into 2015
GM is recalling 83,572 vehicles between the years 2011-2012, motors include Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Avalanche, Sierra HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, GMC Sierra LD, Suburban, and Tahoe.
The report receipt date was set on December 30, 2014 with the ‘NHTSA Campaign Number’ being 14V827000. The General Motors fault surrounds the ignition lock actuator where it could possibly bind. This could in return make it very hard to turn the key and, in some cases, causing the key to get stuck in the "Start" position.
If you own any of the vehicles above you should contact GM customer service at 1-800-458-8006 (Cadillac), 1-800-462-8782 (GMC), or 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet). The GM number for the recall is 14696 for the original equipment, and 14912 for the service replacement parts.
