In Memoriam: Gino R. Francescangeli, Jr.

NAFA was saddened to learn that longtime Affiliate and Club NAFA member Gino R. Francescangeli Jr. died on January 5. He passed away at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital with his family by his side. He was 61.

Known as a familiar figure at NAFA's yearly conference, the Association's Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE said, "Gino was a very friendly guy and his absence will be felt by everyone who knew and worked with him. NAFA offers its collective condolences to his family and friends at this sad time."

Gino is survived by his wife of 33 years, Colleen (Taylor) Francescangeli; children Mari Rose, Timothy, Matthew, and Margaret Francescangeli; his sister Karen Myers; and his three brothers Barry, Thomas, and Richard Francescangeli. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gino grew up in Philadelphia, PA and Warminster, PA. He traveled around the country as Director of National Fleet Accounts for Pep Boys, for which he worked twenty years. He is remembered a devoted figure in the St. Jude Parish community, participating in both school and parish activities. an avid fishing rod builder and boater, one of Gino's favorite hobbies was fishing off the beaches of Long Beach Island, NJ.
