Wheels, Inc. Welcomes Tim O'Hara As New CIO
Automotive fleet management company Wheels, Inc. has hired e-commerce industry veteran Tim O’Hara as its new Chief Information Officer.
O’Hara joined Wheels on May 1 as the head of the company’s information technology departments. With nearly 25 years of management experience in IT applications and enterprise systems optimization, O’Hara has responsibility for developing and managing Wheels’ client-facing applications, systems infrastructure and security, telecommunications, internal networks, and business continuance functions.
O’Hara spent the last 19 years at United Stationers, Inc., a $5.3 billion wholesale distribution company, where he rose to the rank of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. As CTO, he was responsible for overall IT strategy and initiatives for all United Stationers business units. He led corporate-wide enterprise IT strategy and modernization planning projects, built a state-of-the-art e-commerce web application for resellers and launched a content portal that streamlined supplier integration.
Prior to United Stationers, O’Hara served as a senior consultant at Fujitsu Consulting, the business integration and information services arm of multinational IT giant Fujitsu, Ltd.
O’Hara holds a BS in applied computer science from Illinois State University and earned alumni status from the Harvard Business School after completing courses in finance, negotiation, and leadership development.
