10:15-11:00am – How to Put Generations of Knowledge to Work for You
Today's workforce is a mixture of the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, and Millenials. Understanding the motivations of these groups, their particular talents and weaknesses and the roles in which they excel is critical to maximizing performance and productivity in your organization. This is particularly true in fleet where new entrants have to learn how to work with an aging workforce and managers need to assign all of their staff to roles where they can excel. This session will look at situations that fleet managers face in their day-to-day operations. Solutions will be provided by experienced representatives of each of the four generations represented in today's workforce.
11:15am-12:00pm – Getting What You Need Through the RFP Process
Requests for Proposal are a recommended tool for procuring solutions rather than simple commodities. Done well, the RFP process is an efficient way to procure fleet vehicles and equipment. Common hurdles, however, can slow or even stop the process or result in less than satisfactory results. This session will look at some real-life examples of pitfalls encountered and how sticking to RFP basics can help.
