Skills And Fuels Are The Subjects Of NAFA's NY-IC/CT Joint Chapter Meeting

NAFA's Connecticut and New York-InterCounty Chapters invite members and guests for a joint chapter meeting at the Norwalk DoubleTree Inn, on September 17, 10:00am -1:30pm. We will be discussing necessary skills that are vital to succeeding in fleet and what has been learned about the field of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle conversions, and where it is heading.

Topic 1: Three Skills a Fleet Professional Cannot Live Without

Speaker NAFA's Director of Professional Development Kate Vigneau, CAFM®

This session will cover three important skillsets for industry professionals - building selector lists, calculating maintenance requirements and assessing your risk profile. Have you been put in charge of fleet and questioned where to start? Understanding the basics of asset management and vehicle selection will definitely help. Have you ever wondered how your maintenance needs compare to other organizations? Normalizing your fleet through the use of Vehicle Equivalency Units (VEUs) will provide the answer. Do you struggle with which fleet risks you should avoid, retain, reduce or insure against? The risk management process will provide a step-by-step methodology to identify and classify risks.  Join us for an interactive class that is sure to provoke lots of discussion amongst attendees.
