Take A Look At Some Of The Career-Enhancing Education Coming To NAFA's 2016 I&E

NAFA's Institute & Expo means education that is designed to meet your specific fleet needs. Need proof? Here is a small sampling of the hot-button topics affecting fleet right now and being discussed at I&E!

Sustaining Your Partnership With Strategic Sourcing - Sourcing professionals have taken a more active role in fleet management over the past several years. It goes far beyond managing the RFP process and it is common today for sourcing to have consistent involvement in many areas of a company’s fleet program.

In this course, you’ll learn how to productively partner and engage sourcing as well as what types of metrics & measurements are important in a sourcing focused fleet program.

The VMT Road Tax Era Is Near - VMT (vehicle miles traveled) is an acronym getting a lot of use lately. As drivers -- fleet or otherwise -- look to sustainable, alt-fuel options, gas tax revenue is poised to take a hit. The solution: drivers will install a device in their cars that record not how much gas they buy, but how many miles they’ve run, and they will pay per mile based upon this. VMTs could signal a radical shift for every vehicle driver.

A-B-Cs of Data Integration - This session will present the basics about communicating with FMCs about your data integration needs, the kinds of additional data they can provide, how to make the best use of their reporting and analytics tools and then how to know what to do with the findings.

Driving Alternative Fuels and Vehicles Deployment by Utilizing Clean Cities Tools & Resources - This session will guide attendees through the tools and resources available from the Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC); modeling tools such as the VICE tool for natural gas and propane station development; AFLEET, which can help fleets understand simple payback and criteria and greenhouse gas emissions impacts within their operations; and an overview of the Clean Cities program and how to connect with local resources and experts.

Regulatory Compliance at Federal and State Level - There are many compliance challenges for fleets beyond those from the Federal DOT. NAFA members also must comply with several state administered programs. This session will explain the programs, reveal the best practices for how to remain compliant, and provide real-life examples of what non-compliance can mean in terms of audits and potential penalties.

All this and much more awaits you at NAFA's Institute & Expo, April 19-22 in Austin, Texas! Registration at www.nafainstitute.org is opening very soon!
