The 2016 I&E Is Over; Distracted Driving Is Not...Add Your Voice To Distracted Driving Pledge

At the Annual Business Meeting which opened the 2016 Institute & Expo, President Ruth Alfson, CAFM®, took a moment to speak on the subject of distracted driving and NAFA's stance in its regard, being that it is, "...unacceptable, unprofessional, and is not conducive to achieving excellence."

NAFA, in conjunction with sponsor SambaSafety, presented a distracted driving pledge (which was positioned in the NAFA booth in the Austin Convention Center lobby), and attendees were urged to sign the pledge to promise they will not drive with distractions.

The pledge filled up nicely, but there's more work to be done. That's where you come in. Now that you have accepted this challenge to turn off the phones, the focus-disruptive acts and items, and all the behaviors that promote unsafe driving, what's next?

Over the coming weeks, NAFA will bring you ways you can take the next step, introducing this information to family, friends, and co-workers. We urge you to get involved! Let us know that you are accepting the pledge. Let us know you are spreading the word.

The 2016 I&E is over. Unfortunately, distracted driving is not. You can make the difference. Communicate with us. Integrate a zero-tolerance approach to distracted driving, and get involved today!
