A Statement from NAFA Foundation President Tom Lubas on the Passing of Willard DaSilva

Willard H. (Bill) DaSilva was a true friend, advisor and legal counsel to NAFA Fleet Management Association and to the NAFA Foundation for more than 50 years. Bill was one of the original three Board members of the NAFA Foundation and he prepared and filed all of the legal documents to establish the Foundation some 40 years ago. The NAFA Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization whose mission is primarily to promote and advance research and educational programs in the fleet management community.

In honor of Bill and to recognize his many years of excellent service to NAFA and the NAFA Foundation, the Foundation was proud to establish the Willard H. DaSilva Scholarship several years ago. This scholarship is annually awarded to outstanding, honor-roll students enrolled in a fleet management degree program at NAFA-affiliated colleges. The NAFA Foundation will continue to honor Bill's life and his dedicated service to the fleet management industry through its continued future support and sponsorship of the Willard H. DaSilva Scholarship program. Bill's friendship and invaluable advice will be truly missed by all of his NAFA/NAFA Foundation friends and associates.
