NAFA's Tri-State Chapter at the NTEA Work Truck Show
NAFA's Tri-State Chapter hosted their annual March meeting in conjunction with the NTEA Work Truck Show, held in Indianapolis, IN on March 6. This is always a well-attended meeting with informative speakers and plenty of time of networking. True to form, this year's meeting had over 80 attendees.
Attendees enjoyed hearing updates from Chris Lyons, CAFM® with NTEA and NAFA Immediate Past President Ruth Alfson, CAFM®. They were followed by two educational speakers, starting with Joe Monteleone, Order Control Manager for Auto Truck Group. Joe discussed lightweighting technologies and trends in the fleet industry and initiatives to reduce cost and increase efficiencies for any fleet. Then, Scott Sutarik with Geotab shared an update on the ELD regulations and what you need to do to prepare your fleet and drivers for the upcoming changes.
Special recognition was given to outgoing Chapter Chair Rob Sizemore, CAFM®, City of Cincinnati. Rob has been a dedicated leader for the chapter for the last three years, where he has grown chapter attendance and helped formulate schedules and educational topics to increase attendance at our local meetings. Rob has been a tremendous addition to the Tri-State Chapter and his leadership has been appreciated and needed over the years.
