On May 28, the Ontario Chapter will hold their Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament, returning to the Copper Creek Golf Club. This golf outing will benefit SickKids Hospital. Wholesale used vehicle prices (on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally adjusted basis) fell 0.5 percent in March. (Naturally, prices rose before the seasonal adjustment.) March’s decline pushed the Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index to a reading of 124.5, which was virtually identical to its year-ago reading of 124.4.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), following several weeks of trial balloons and direct hints that it was dissatisfied with the speed of recalls and would take action to remedy the problem, confirmed in late-April that it was taking firm action in the long-running Jeep and Takata recalls.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said it will recall about 58,000 older cars and SUVs equipped with manual transmissions to replace clutch ignition interlock switches. The company said the wire in the switches was recalled in a previous campaign. The recall covers 43,874 2006 Jeep Liberty and Wrangler SUVs and Dodge Viper cars in the United States, along with 2,944 in Canada, 706 in Mexico, and 11,309 elsewhere.
