Two Minneapolis policemen working in Minneapolis’ public schools as school resource officers – Mike Kirchen and Mark Klukow – wanted to maintain a connection with the kids during the summer months.
“They spent the nine months of the school year developing a strong rapport,” said NAFA Regular Member Al Thunberg, CAFM, “and they didn’t want to abandon those relationships while the kids were out of school.” The answer: a converted ice cream truck.
Window Manufacturer Andersen Corp., located in Oak Park Heights, Minn., is known for many things. Its fleet is not one that automatically comes to mind, and certainly not one specific vehicle within it. “Andersen keeps our collector Buick enrolled in our fleet management company’s programs so that it’s ready to go for parades and special events,” said Fleet and Compliance Manager Mark Hammel.

The first-ever Fleet LatAm Conference will be coming to Latin America this fall, and NAFA is an Association Partner of the event!
