NAFA Chapter News
The Board of NAFA's Chicago Chapter wants to thank everyone that attended and participated in September’s golf event. As a result of everyone’s efforts and participation, the Chicago Chapter was able to donate 282 food items and $1,650 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, besting the totals from last year's event.

Join NAFA's NorCal-Northern Nevada Chapter at the NorCal Clean Technology Forum & Expo and West Coast Collaborative Partners meeting. This free event focusing on sustainable technologies, clean air actions, funding, and regulatory needs - takes place October 16-18, at the McClellan Conference Center in McClellan, Calif. The chapter's session on sustainable fleets, bus electification, and the CAFM ® program, will take place this Thursday, October 18. Legislative News
In the news: The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration recently held a listening session to gather feedback on Hours-of-Service regulations in an effort to alleviate unnecessary burdens on commercial vehicle drivers. U.S., Mexican, and Canadian negotiators announced on October 1, 2018, that a new agreement was reached. Renamed the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), the pact keeps the North American supply chain largely intact. A public meeting took place earlier in October to consider recommendations on how best to improve the New Car Assessment Program. The Department of Transportation issued Preparing for the Future of Transportation: Automated Vehicles 3.0, a new document detailing the Department’s comprehensive and multimodal approach to the future of autonomous vehicles.
