In the news: The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced the approval of the Innovative Clean Transit regulation on December 14. A class-action lawsuit was filed by Hyundai and Kia owners against the companies, alleging that a dangerous defect affecting certain vehicle models can cause premature engine failure and spontaneous fires in the engines. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration publicly announced the denials of 10 electronic logging device exemption requests made by various trade organizations and associations.
