NALA Elections - Candidate Forum June 15
NALA will be hosting a live-streamed Virtual Candidate Forum on June 15 at 2 p.m. CT. Candidates will be separated into the Board position for which they are running. Those positions are:
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Area Director
Click here to sign up for the Candidate Forum. The forum is free to attend, but space is limited, and attendees must register in advance. If you cannot attend this event, do not worry! There will be a second Candidate Forum July 13, 2022.
This candidate forum will be recorded and will be available to all members, at least one week before voting opens June 22.

Attorneys: What Makes Them Tick? A Legal Staff Survival Guide

Many of us have described attorneys as in a “league of their own.” They are generally known to be demanding, micro-managing know-it-alls. Sound like anyone you know? These traits often lead paralegals to feel overwhelmed and question their ability to do their job. What if I told you it has been scientifically proven that attorneys are “wired” differently than you and me?
In this course, we will gain a deeper understanding of the psychology of the attorney and their personality traits. We will look at tools we can use when working with challenging personalities and explore communication techniques to build better working relationships.

CP Examinees
- Results for the April 2022 Skills Exam are scheduled to be released six to eight weeks after April 30. All examinees will be notified via email.
- Our Partner Testing option (testing at your school, place of employment, or military base) is currently unavailable. We expect it to be available by fall. All testing will be administered at PSI Onsite facilities or PSI Remote Proctoring. We apologize for any inconvenience. (The Skills Exam is not administered via remote proctoring.)
Certification
- Congratulations to the 84 new CPs who passed the February 2022 Skills Exam! We recognize your remarkable achievement and by now, should have received your CP packet in the mail.
- For those whose recertification is approaching, did you know that NALA offers ACP courses worth 20 hours of CLE? You can earn another credential while getting those needed CLE!
