Congratulations to Cheryl J. Nodarse, ACP, on her reelection as NALA President for the 2025-2026 term. During her first term, Cheryl led a comprehensive review of NALA’s bylaws, policies, and procedures, an ongoing initiative set to be presented at the Fall 2025 Board meeting. Under her leadership, a task force of NALA Affiliated Association (AA) leaders has been analyzing how to revolutionize NALA’s support for its affiliates. Four new AAs have been approved during her tenure. She also witnessed a milestone occasion on August 6, 2024, when the US Congress recognized the first official National Paralegal Day, a vital step in advancing paralegal utilization and recognition. Cheryl Nodarse, ACP, has been a paralegal for over 35 years, earning her CP® in 1990. She graduated with a BS in sociology from Central Michigan University. She works as a paralegal for Vlahakis Cole in Michigan, a firm specializing in municipal and real estate law. She is also a licensed realtor with Vlahakis Homes. Cheryl served two terms as Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section. She is a frequent contributing author to Facts & Findings. Cheryl’s service to NALA has spanned many years and several positions. We look forward to another impactful term under Cheryl’s leadership.
