For the second consecutive year, the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is honored to receive the 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for demonstrating exemplary commitment and dedication to leadership in energy efficiency and the ENERGY STAR program.
"When industry stakeholders gathered in January to celebrate the transfer of NAPA leadership, honor the best in quality asphalt pavements, and tackle tough topics like mental health, there was a singular quality that shone brightly: resilience," NAPA President and CEO Audrey Copeland and Chairman Brady Meldrem write. "It is in our people, our product, our partners, and this organization, fortified by your participation."
On March 18, NAPA officially submitted its comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the agency’s Label Program for Low Embodied Carbon Construction Materials.
NAPA selected the APAC-Kansas mill and overlay project on Interstate 70 as the winner of the 2023 Sheldon G. Hayes Award for Highest Quality in Asphalt Paving.
Tom Stivers, the Western Kansas Branch Manager for the Shears Division of APAC-Kansas, said great roads get made when things fall into place.
“We go out every day and try to do really great work,” he said.
