NAPA’s tool for generating environmental product declarations (EPDs) for asphalt pavement mixes has new features in its latest version. The Emerald Eco-Label tool includes calculations to measure biogenic carbon in pavement materials in version 2.3.0. The update also includes changes to binder additives to account for biogenic carbon, while fixing bugs.
NAPA is thrilled to formally welcome 16 new members to the association. These companies were ratified by the Board during its Fall meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona. There is still time to get recognized for the use of best practices in asphalt plant operations, terminal operations, asphalt production, and paving.
NAPA Director of Pavement Engineering & Innovation Jean-Paul Fort will moderate the final installment of a three-part series of webinars on airfield paving on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Wirtgen’s Tom Kowalski and Caterpillar’s Todd Mansell will explore best practices in paving operations, grade control, joint density, and technologies like intelligent compaction and thermal imaging.
In the final episode of Pave It Black's eighth season, sponsored by Wirtgen Group, Richard and Brett once again pick up their conversation with Tim Kowalski and Laikram Narsingh. This time, they explore two innovative technologies changing the asphalt pavement industry: 3D paving and Cold Central Plant Recycling. Listen to learn what these technologies are, how they were developed, and hear about real-world examples of these technologies in action. Missed Part 1? Stream it now.
The next installment in the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) From Research to Implementation webinar series will explore the construction of the latest 19 test sections at the NCAT Test Track facility. The International Conference on the Decarbonization of Asphalt Pavements aims to explore innovative solutions and best practices for reducing the carbon footprint associated with asphalt pavements. Every day is America Recycles Day for asphalt pavement. That’s because asphalt is the nation’s most recycled product. How do we know? |
