Camp NAWIC a Success!

2018 was the second year the Chicago Metro chapter #325 held Camp NAWIC. This year the camp had 12 participants, three of which were return students from the previous year! The chapter’s goal was to showcase the variety of career opportunities within the construction industry and were able to utilize member companies to help with the camp. The group visited True North Consulting, an environmental engineering firm, visited two active job sites in the city of Chicago with Walsh Construction, learned about blueprints and estimating at Turner Construction, visited Laurie and Brennan, a construction law firm, and much more. The girls were very engaged and very interested in the different aspects of the industry.
