The OSHA-NAWIC Alliance’s emphasis focuses on three key components: (1) Dissemination of information on agency-developed or alliance program-developed tools and resources, OSHA standards and rulemaking, enforcement and outreach campaigns. (2) Outreach events and training for non-OSHA staff, such as roundtables, conferences, informational webinars, stand-downs or training in support of the alliance or an OSHA initiative. Speeches, presentations and exhibit booths all meet this category. (3) Training for OSHA staff, where the alliance provides training or assistance in training OSHA and/or OSHA-affiliated staff.
Our alliance strongly believes in educating our members. The below hierarchy of control represents how we can remove hazards from our workplaces, and we are often reminded that many only look at the issuance of PPE instead of looking at the more effective controls.
