Lifetime Achievement, Member of the Year and Future Leader of the Year Award winners are recognized at the NAWIC Annual Conference during the Awards Gala.

Annual Conference Ads Due July 2.

The Former Daily Bulletin ads are being upgraded into the onsite program and the NAWIC Annual Report. This is your chance to thank and recognize leaders of NAWIC. Please note, there will no longer be a Daily Bulletin at the Annual Conference. Any ads you wish to place, will be due on or before July 2. 

Advertising for the 2018 Annual Conference will be available for a limited time. This year’s advertising options will be available in two publications: the 2018 Annual Conference program and the new 2018 NAWIC Annual Report. The deadline to place an ad for either of these publications is July 2. NAWIC staff will no longer be taking ads on-site at the Annual Conference. 

On-site advertising sales will no longer be offered at the Annual Conference.

The ballot for the 2018 – 2019 National Board elections has been finalized. Online voting will be held May 15 – 31, 2018.

Want to ask the candidates questions before the election ends, May 31? ­­­­­­­ Red Rose Recruiter

The NAWIC Red Rose Recruiter program is recognition for members who have recruited eighteen or more members within a three-year period. The award year runs from July 1 – June 30. If a member recruits eighteen or more members within a three year period, based upon the official records of the NAWIC office, the member will receive a Red Rose Recruiter blazer in recognition of her achievement. This member will be known as the Red Rose Recruiter. Award winners will be recognized at the NAWIC Annual Conference. In Remembrance of NAWIC Past National President Mary Ellen Ledbetter

NAWIC Past National President Mary Ellen Ledbetter passed away April 5, 2018. She was a long-time member of the Ventura County, California NAWIC chapter. She served as the NAWIC National President from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998. Along with being a past national president, Mary Ellen was also a Red Rose Recruiter. She will be missed by many in the NAWIC community.

Registration is now open for annual conference: Mark your calendar for August 15-18 in Orlando for NAWIC’s annual conference. This year, we have changed up the program, adding panels, a closing brunch, two keynoters, NEF certificate boot camp and exam, and created the Neighborhood with pop up education, snacks and vendor tables. Early bird pricing is in effect now until April 30th, so register now!

NAWIC Career Center

The NAWIC Career Center offers construction companies, recruiters and hiring managers a unique resource that allows them to communicate their job openings to women in various fields of the construction industry. Finding the right women for the job has never been easier!

The NAWIC Career Center features a construction industry online job board and NAWIC members can look to the job board to find employment opportunities. In the Career Center, members can post their resumes and find listings of the newest career opportunities related to the construction industry.  To view the NAWIC Career Center, click here.

Industry Update
Thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia added construction jobs between March 2017 and March 2018, while 29 states added construction jobs between February and March, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data released recently. Association officials said the job gains are coming amid strong private-sector demand and new public-sector investments in school and airport construction. SOURCE: AGC.ORG
The construction industry has been slow to adapt to technological advances, but that soon may change. There are several types of construction robots under development to change the way builders build. ROBOTICS ONLINE BLOG
