Congratulations to NAWIC's 1,000th New Member of the Year! Samantha Paul with Central Builders was NAWIC's 1,000th new member of the year! We are thrilled to have Samantha join NAWIC and the San Antonio Chapter #11. Samantha received an appreciation gift from NAWIC for being the lucky number 1,000! Welcome, Samantha! Planning to Post a Congratulary Note in the Annual Conference Daily Bulletin? Annual Conference Advertising Due July 2 The former Daily Bulletin ads are being upgraded into the Annual Conference on-site program. This is your chance to thank and recognize leaders of NAWIC. Please note, there will no longer be a Daily Bulletin at the Annual Conference. Any ads you wish to place will be due on or before July 2. Ads will no longer be taken on-site at the Annual Conference. Click here to learn more about advertising options for the 2018 Annual Conference. Becoming a NAWIC Chapter President? Join us at the Annual Conference and sign up for the NAWIC Chapter Leadership Training. A total of 91 (!) attendees are currently signed up for the training, and we want to have a representative from every chapter present in August! Stepping into the top chapter leadership role can be daunting. This session will help ensure that you understand your role and responsibilities. You’ll hear from volunteer leaders, as well as NAWIC’s attorney and CPA. Topics include mandatory legal and financial reports, budgeting, chapter deadlines, resources and tools from NAWIC, committees, strategic planning and more. This training is for incoming Chapter Presidents. Registration is required to reserve your place. You may register using the Annual Conference registration form. For more information or to register, click here. New Mentoring Program Being Offered to Local Chapters The Emerging Professionals Committee is pleased to present an updated chapter mentoring program. NAWIC local chapters can now offer a voluntary program for chapters to adopt. This mentoring program will provide a way for NAWIC members to connect and learn from each other. By connecting a mentor and a mentee in an organized manner, members can develop personal and career skills and enhance the value of membership. Both the mentor and mentee will learn from each other as each person has skills and experience to share. The beauty of the program is that both will benefit — this is not a one-way, learn-from-the-mentor program. The program will give both individuals the oppoortunity to share, educate and inspire. New Items Coming to the NAWIC Store The NAWIC store will have new items to offer in the coming months and at the 2018 Annual Conference in Orlando. Be on the lookout for computer totes, cosmetic vanity bags, women's baseball caps, NAWIC blankets and much more! New store items mean the old items must go. All current NAWIC store items are on clearance! For pricing and more information call or email Lori Wagner at 800-552-3506 or loriw@nawic.org.
