Education / Training
I have fallen into the trap of considering success in limited ways. At times, my sense of success was primarily tied to my career. What is the next job? How much am I earning? Am I meeting and exceeding expectations? That narrow perspective, in addition to being solely career-centric, was also self-centered. Over time I came to appreciate the need for and benefits of taking a more expansive view of my definition of success. Once I stopped looking narrowly, I realized that personal success was not limited to my job.

Industry Update
Construction Dive is seeking nominations through Feb. 11 to highlight the industry's leading women in all sectors.

Thirty-nine percent of families of construction workers in the U.S. are enrolled in at least one public safety net program such as Medicaid, according to a new report by the UC Berkeley Labor Center released this month. By comparison, 31% of workers across all industries have a family member enrolled in public assistance, Berkeley found.
Indicative of that optimistic outlook, AGC found 74% of firms intend to hire in 2022, despite supply chain challenges that are slowing project starts and previous labor shortages.
