Sarah joined NAWIC National in January of 2024 as a Membership Coordinator. In her day to day, she answers emails and phone calls with members assisting them with renewals and enrollment. Her favorite part about working at NAWIC is the comradery she has between her peers in the office and the members that she communicates with on a daily basis.
The Carol A. Kueker memorial award is named in honor of the late Carol A. Kueker, a long-time Trustee and volunteer who served as President of NEF. Kueker was instrumental in promoting the core purpose and goals of the organization for many years and was instrumental in forming our Design Drafting and Block Kids competitions.
The Carol A. Kueker Construction Education Visionary Award recognizes individuals for their passion and dedication to NEF programs and the promotion of construction education.

Applications are now open for the NAWIC Project Excellence Awards. These awards celebrate the best construction projects from the past year. Companies from all over the country submit their work to be considered for the honor. The application window closes on April 15.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and her master’s in public administration from North Carolina Central University. With a remarkable tenure of 27 years at the City of Durham, Lisa has accumulated over 25 years of invaluable experience in Project Management.

National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign held at the start of construction season to encourage safe driving through highway work zones. The key message is for drivers to use extra caution in work zones. NWZAW is April 15-19, hosted by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) has been successful in spreading awareness for work zone safety across the country because of participation from organizations and individuals just like you. Hundreds of companies and individuals reach out to ATSSA on social media each year using #NWZAW.
NEF is solely supported by sponsorships and donations and its Ladder Club of Success offers individuals the opportunity to support NEF with one-time or reoccurring automatic donations. Your financial support educates others through various programs and construction industry education courses. Fundraising is also done by NEF Fundraising Liaisons at a Regional and Chapter level.
