Industry Update
All summer long, a group of middle and high school girls have come together in east Baltimore for a unique camp experience. The goal is to get them to explore a career mostly dominated by men. At ABC Baltimore on East Biddle Street, it isn't a typical arts and crafts summer camp. It's where hard hats protect the heads of young women who are learning all about jobs in construction.

Fueled by the statistic from a 2023 Bureau Labor of Statistics report that women make up only 10.8% of the construction workforce, Pinellas County Schools entered the summer with the goal of raising that number.
