According to the Minority 2018 Small Business Trends Survey, the number of black-owned small businesses in the U.S. increased by 400 percent during a one-year period between 2017 and 2018. The survey, which included more than 2,600 business owners and entrepreneurs, found that 45 percent of all small businesses in the United States are owned by minority ethnic groups in 2018.
